Some of you may have noticed some text right below a select for peoples' Avatars. That's a Special Status. CoQ Member CoQ stands for "Council of Quality". In the Hack Store, CoQ Members are those who can approve new submissions, hide existing submissions, and handle Broken Reports. They're also being notified each time, so no need to put Links in the ShoutBox anymore. Forum Developer Forum Developers are those who develop this Forum Software. Other than being able to access the Development Build of this Software, they don't have any additional power to this Forum. It's just easier for new people to reach them out, when issues were found. Full Hack Creator By default, you're unable to Upload ROM Hacks (Full Hacks) to the Hack Store, to prevent Projects with little to no effort from being Uploaded. However, Full Hack Creators are permitted to Upload Full Hacks to the Hack Store. Full Hack Creators are known for delivering excellent Projects. ODB Manager ODB Managers can add, edit, or delete objects in the Object Database. Not much else needs to be said, right? More Special Statuses are being planned to be added, so to be continued. |

I have a special status suggestion : Regular Hack Creator A regular hack creator got the same privileges than a regular member at the only exception than he is known to being good at hacking a game. Someone can get the "Regular Hack Creator" grade by creating a 100% completed hack of something that is not a texture hack. Example : if you create an hack that gives to Luigi his fire flower outfit, you are not gonna get that grade. Example 2 : if you create an hack that contains a new track who is not completed at 100% (CPU who is not working, no item boxes, etc.), you are not gonna get that grade. Example 3 : if you create an hack who replaces Luigi with Vinny (idk) with a brand new model, voice palette and icons for the character, you are gonna finally get that damn grade ! :P Example 4 : if you create a music hack, you get that grade. Example 5 : if you upload a music hack that is not made by you, you don't get that grade. |

That seems quite pointless to me, actually. I mean, shouldn't we all be Regular Hack Creators? Replacing "Regular" by "Trusted", "Verified", or something similar could make more sense, I think. |

Technically, it's not for everyone to be a Regular Hack Creator because this require to have a bit of experience in ROM Hacking (Like i said before, you need to make fully completed hack that is not a simple texture hack like for example an hack that replace a vanilla character with a brand new custom character). And yeah, this grade is not intended to be useful because this is only a way to show to other people that you have some knowledge about ROM Hacking. That status is NOT ment for giving some powers that usual members don't have :P But it could for sure make sense to call a Regular Hack Creator a Verified Hack Creator or something else X] |

I agree with Yami, it does seem pointless. I mean, you could just as easily ask if they are, or not, and since Texture Hacks, do fall under the realm of making a hack, and the fact that it does require a bit of experience on how to do things, wouldn't make much sense not to call them a "Regular Hack Creator", if you ask me. You could just as easily make a hack to show people your knowledge, if you look in the Hack Store, it tells you who made each hack, and that should a bit about what the creator of said Hack knows. |
